It has been a norm these days that female beauty pageants should have a purpose. Yes, Beauty with a Purpose. But in the world of male pageantry, does this kind of cliché, if you will, exists? Fortunately it does! There are three major male beauty pageants these days – Mister International, Manhunt International and Mister World.
Mister International is supporting a charitable organization that wants to fight obesity! The organization is creating awareness for healthy lifestyle, healthy eating habits, and regular exercise. No wonder the reigning Mister International, Jose Paredes, appeared on the Indonesian edition of Men’s Health.
Meanwhile, Mister World Francisco Escobar is very busy doing a lot of charitable organization. He has already worked alongside Miss World 2012 Wenxia Yu and Miss World 2013 Megan Young. The handsome young Colombian hunk has already travelled in many places and has raised millions of money for several charities.
And finally, the Manhunt International. The reigning winner is June Macasaet of the Philippines and like Mister World, this has become a biennial event. The pageant is focused on brings “unity promoting spontaneity” and about building brotherhood among men.
