Daniel Torres Moreno of Andalucia bested 15 other contestants for the title of Mr World Spain 2018 during the finals held September 2 in Palma de Mallorca.
Torres, who works as a security officer in Malaga, will now represent Spain in Mr World competition to be held in January 2019 in the Philippines.
Anselmo Menéndez of Galicia and Ivan Huesa of Navarra placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
No stranger to pageants, Torres previously competed in Mister International 2016 and finished in the Top 9.
“I was very nervous, because they were all very good candidates. And since I represented Spain two years ago at Mister International in Thailand, I thought they would not choose me”, Torres said.
