FOR THE first time, “The Search for the World’s Most Desirable Man” will be held in the Philippines.
Miss World Organisation chairman Julia Morley announced in a Facebook post that the Mr World 2018 finals is set for Sunday, September 16, in Manila. A press conference will be held in Manila on May 1 where full details of the biennial event will be discussed.
This marks the first time since 2012 that the pageant will be held outside England. Turkey, Portugal, Scotland, China and Korea played host to the pageant in previous editions.
Founded in 1996, the Mr World pageant “is a 2-3 week competition designed to test the candidates in a variety of ways through a series of challenge events, interviews and a final stage show.” The contestants take part in five challenge events, such as Fashion & Style, the Extreme Challenge, the Multi-Media Award, the Sports Challenge & the Talent Competition.
