NouLao Wamenglor bested 11 other candidates in a pageant held in Laotel Hotel in the capital city of Vientianne. She is 21 years of age and hails from the province Xiangkhouang province. Aside from winning the main title, she also received the Popular Vote award. NouLao represent Laos at the 23rd edition of Miss Earth which will be held in Vietnam.
The other elemental queens that were also crowned in the same pageant are: Somsouda Thepsouvan (Miss Earth Laos Land), Fachalin Chounlamounty (Miss Earth Laos Air, Lothjana Khounnavong (Miss Earth Laos Water), and Oulayphone Soutthavong (Miss Earth Laos Fire).
