Located in central Mediterranean, the tiny archipelago of Malta is yet to win the Miss Universe crown or any Big5 title for that matter. The country is consistently ranked on 84th place at the Big5 Ranking for almost four years.
Representing Malta at Miss Universe 2022 pageant is Maxine Formosa. She’s 21 years of age and works as a model and as a legal assistant. The franchise holder of Miss Universe in Malta, Alan J. Darmanin, decided not to hold a national pageant this year. Instead Maxine Formosa was appointed. Maxine was the second runner-up during the Miss Universe Malta 2021 Pageant.
Expressing her pride for the opportunity to represent her country, Maxine got a special crowning ceremony formalizing her title. Last year’s winner Jade Cini passed the crown and sash to Maxine.
