Luego de que medios difundieran una serie de fotos donde Miss Venezuela 2014 Mariana Jiménez aparece completamente desnuda, las críticas en contra de la joven de 20 años no demoraron. Sin embargo, estas críticas distan mucho de la realidad, a pesar de que la Mariana sí aparece desnuda en la mencionada fotografía, se trata de un desnudo que podría clasificarse de artístico y que obedece a una buena causa: La lucha contra el SIDA y VIH.
Mariana Jiménez defendió la sesión de fotos, “Las fotos tienen un mensaje muy bello, pero siempre habrá efectos negativos”, aseguró.

Criticism from the public was very quick when the Venezuelan media released the series of nude photos of Miss Venezuela 2014 Maria Jimenez. However, the criticisms were off the mark as while Mariana was indeed nude in the photos but it can be considered as something done with taste and in the name of art. Above all, it is for a good cause. The photos were meant for a cause spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS.
Mariana defended the nude photos by saying that the photos provided a good message which unfortunately can be construed negatively.
