History was made in Barranquilla as the first ever mother and a married Colombian woman was crowned as Miss Universe Colombia. Camila Avella, a 28-year-old model and TV presenter, beat 20 other contestants and earned the right to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant. She hopes to become the third Colombian to win the prestigious international crown following the footsteps of Luz Marina Zuluaga and Paulina Vega.
