Australia’s Jessica Peart was crowned Miss Global 2015 at the conclusion of the pageant held October 22 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila, Philippines.

Virginia Prak of Cambodia finished first runner-up while Ireland’s Lorna Murphy placed second runner-up. Bulgaria’s Gergana Doncheva and host delegate Candice Ramos of the Philippines finished 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively.

The candidates were first narrowed down to 20 semifinalists who competed in the swimsuit round. The Top 11 moved forward to the evening gown competition. The Top 5 then proceeded to the all-important Q&A portion.

The delegates from South Africa, Taiwan, Myanmar, El Salvador and USA completed the Top 11 finalists.

The rest of the Top 20 were the candidates from Guyana, South Korea, Dominican Republic, Wales, Poland, Colombia, Vietnam, England, Jordan and Israel.

The winners of special awards were Miss Photogenic, South Africa; Miss Fitness, Ireland; Miss Talent, Bulgaria; Miss Fashion, Myanmar; Miss Goodwill, Canada and Miss Congeniality, Taiwan.

Now on its third year, the Miss Global pageant prides itself of being a competition “beyond just the physical beauty of women”. The winner will become “a sponsor of goodwill, a trendsetter for leadership, and an ambassador for beauty and cultural diversity.” Previous titleholders came from Canada: Emily Kiss (2013) and Ela Mino (2014).
