An Australian model and a Miss World Australia state finalist is making waves in Australia these days after she published her heart wrenching video online. Adau Mornyang, 22, earned the admiration and respect of the netizens after she courageously admitted that she was raped when she was 16. Of South Sudanese origin, Adau hopes that she will someday become the voice of young women who lost their dignity.

When she was raped, she sought the help of the police and the two perpetrators were immediately arrested. But the pressure on her from the South Sudanese community forced her to drop the case. The events left her traumatized and decided to expose the victim blaming that is so prevalent in her community.
