SAN JUAN CITY — As predicted by Missosology, Cao Xuan Tai of Vietnam was crowned Man of the World 2018 in a festive finale held July 14 at the Fil-Oil Flying V Center in San Juan City, Philippines.
He bested 26 other contestants for the title and the right to become the global ambassador of the pageant’s “Masculinity with Responsibility” advocacy.
Clint Karkliñs Peralta of the Philippines placed first runner-up and also won Best in National Costume, Mr. Personality, World’s Choice and Mr. Highland Bali Resort & Spa. Bjorn Camilleri of Malta was second runner-up, while Onrej Valenta of the Czech Republic finished third runner-up. Natapol Srisarn of Thailand was named fourth runner-up and Best in Formal Wear.
Tai is the first to wear the new custom crown featuring the symbol of Man of the World through 5 torches that mean passion and knowledge. The new crown is made of brass and plated in gold, and is adorned with jade, tanzanites and clear quartz. Man of the World pageant is owned and produced by Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation Inc (Pepps).
Winners of other special awards were Korom Gesese of Ethiopia (Mr. Photogenic), Kaung Htet Wai of Myanmar (Best Advocacy), Erdenetsogt Siilegma of Mongolia (Best in Swimwear), Max Mehrafsha of Iran (Best in Talent) and Joshua Chhabra of India (Best in Fashion of the World). Missosology.Org
