Peru’s Suheyn Cipriani has been dethroned as Miss Eco International 2019 due to pregnancy, the organization confirmed in a statement posted on its official social media pages.
“The hectic schedule of the Miss Eco winner is unsuitable for pregnant women since it may negatively affect the upbringing of a newly born child deprived of his mother’s love,” the Miss Eco International organization said in a statement.
“We feel sad that Ms Cipriani is unconvinced and insists the rules made her feel uncomfortable and burdensome. However we think that she did a great job as our Miss Eco 2019 till now in performing her duties. We wish her the best in her endeavors and thank her for the patronage and support of Miss Eco International pageant 2019,” the organization added.
Amy Tinie Abdul Aziz of Malaysia, who finished fourth runner-up, takes over as new Miss Eco International 2019.
“First of all I want to thank [Miss Eco International] for this opportunity to continue our previous amazing queen [Suheyn Cipriani’s] duty as Miss Eco International 2019. To be honest, it feels like I’m dreaming. It has been a bumpy road through out my pageant journey but somehow I’ve never quit because I know one day it’s all gonna be worth it,” said Abdul Aziz posted on Instagram.
Miss Eco International 2019 first runner-up Maureen Montagne of the Philippines decided to refuse the title to focus on her Bb Pilipinas 2020 campaign.
“I am thankful for the opportunities I have been offered this week by the Miss Eco International Organization to whom I will always be thankful to, but I know deep down I need to do what’s right in my heart. I sincerely wish the woman who will take the crown a wonderful reign ahead. I hope that everyone is safe and healthy during these trying times.
