Norma Huembes Salazar is 24 years old and represented San Marcos during the Miss Nicaragua 2022 pageant. She is a top favorite during the course of the pageant. The first runner-up is Katherine Burgos while Diana Navarro is the second runner-up. Isabella Salgado and Gabriela Calix completed the the Top 5. The finals night was held Crowne Plaza Managua.
Norma will compete at the 71st edition of Miss Universe. The country first participated at Miss Universe in 1955 and it was able to post the following achievements: Top 12 in 1977, Top 10 in 2007, Top 16 in 2013 and Top 21 in 2020.
