Fresh from winning gold in the Swimsuit Competition last night, Cebu’s Jamie Herell leads our first hot picks for Miss Philippines Earth 2014. Why not? Aside from that, she’s doing so good at the pre-pageant activities. “Cebuanas are known to have awesome communication skills so I am putting my money on her,” says Hemustberomeo. Definitely “one to beat” as how Freddy26 puts it, we might be looking at the Philippines second Miss Earth.
Trailing behind her is pageant veteran Maria Paula Bianca Paz of Gapan. After two heartbreaking runners-up finishes in Miss World Philippines, this might be “her redemption”, says UNO-God of Beauty. “She is a clear frontrunner. Her previous experiences is definitely her edge,” he adds.
Third on the list is another Cebuana beauty, Crystal Star Aberasturi of Liloan. Haraya believes “her beauty fits the mold of MPE winners such as Karla Henry, Sandra Seifert and Stephany Stefanowitz and this is really working on her advantage.” Also one of the winningest girls in the pre-pageant activities, Gryffindor_prince thinks Crystal Star is “the right girl to represent the Philippines in Miss Earth 2014 because of her ethereal beauty and wit.”
Fourth on the list is the “stunning and gorgeous” (as per NeonSpectrum) Angelie Crizelle Ocampo of Santa Rita, Pampanga. Winning five medals in the pre-pageant activities is a sign of good things to come for this Pampanguena. “She may not be as popular as the Cebuana beauties or the pageant veterans, but this newbie definitely has the makings of the true Miss Earth beauty,” says Haraya.
Wrapping up the Top 5 for now is the towering Mary Anne Ross Misa of Makati City. Gryffindor_prince says: “MPE shouldnt ignore her because aside from being tall she is a good speaker.” She might not be the typical beauty MPE crowns. UNO-God of Beauty considers her a “dark horse because many are not facially liking her. But trust me, she is unstoppable.”
