21 year-old and 5 ft and 7 inches tall Rafieya Husain was crowned Miss World Guyana 2014 on May 27 at the National Cultural Centre. She defeated seven other candidates competing for the coveted title. Other winners were First runner-up Atisha Gaskill, Second runner-up Denicia Williams, and Third runner-up Ayana Whitehead.
Rafieya pursued her studies at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. She believes that a woman’s confidence and beauty radiate from within. As for her, she is beautiful inside and out- proven by her several beauty titles, which showed her persistence, dedication and practicality. She will soon be proving more at Miss World 2014 pageant representing her country. Good Luck, Rafieya!
