Sierra Leone is making a debut at Miss Universe with the crowning of Hawa Kamara as Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2016. The IAMSL Pageant corroborated with the Ministry of Tourism to search the perfect woman to compete at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.
The finals night was held on July 29 at Miatta Conference Hall, Freetown. Hawa Kamara was hailed as the overall winner in a field of 11 contestants. Hawa is an experienced beauty queen and a model. In 2013, she was crowned as Miss West Africa International after winning in a pageant that selects the best beauty queen in the western region of Africa.
