Representing the department of Valle de Cauca, Daniela Toloza Rocha reigned supreme in a pageant held Sunday night at Puerta de Oro Centro de Eventos del Caribe in Barranquilla. She was crowned by the outgoing queen Camila Avella. Camila made it to the Top 5 at Miss Universe 2023 and is the first married woman to represent Colombia at the pageant. Finishing as first runner-up is María Alejandra Salazar of Huila while Kimberly Hooker Naranjo of Barranquilla is the second runner-up. Leidy Yuliana Gómez of Risaralda is the third runner-up.
Daniela Toloza Rocha is a fashion designer and has her own clothing line named La Rochelle. She is 30 years of age and has studied advertising and public relations. She is also a supporter of LGBTIQ+ rights as well human rights in general. She hopes to become the third Colombian woman to win the coveted Miss Universe title. This year’s pageant will be held in Mexico in November.
