According to the Spanish site of Huffington Post, CLICK HERE Telemundo’s Miss Latina Universo has been postponed indefinitely.No reason was cited as to why it was postponed. The reality based beauty pageant is supposed to select an American beauty of Hispanic descent who will compete directly to the Miss Universe pageant.
Missosology has been a vocal critic against the pageant calling it as a form of racism, bigotry and apartheid. Missosology believes that Miss Universe is a competition of nations and that what makes it prestigious and well followed. A Miss Latina Universe competing at the pageant will erode its prestige and more people will lose interest to the competition. Missosology therefore welcomes this news and hopes that such project will no longer be considered in the future.
