Maya Dimitri is 20 years of age and currently majoring in software engineering in hopes of becoming a cybersecurity expert. She works as a model collaborating with Sri Lankan brands and appeared on various fashion shows such as Colombo Fashion Week and Mercedes Fashion Week.
“As a young adult I’ve always been interested in taking part in a cause that could change the education system in my country” explains Maya on why she chose to represent her country at Miss International “Having this title will give me the platform , the voice and the publicity for me to achieve my goals as an advocate”.
Sri Lanka is yet to win the Miss International crown. The country’s highest placement at the pageant was the 2nd runner-up finish of Madusha Rushani Mayadunne in 2012.
