Leanni Tibbetts also took most of the special awards which includes Beauty with a Purpose, Miss Photogenic, Miss Best in Sports, Miss Best Island Couture and Miss Best in Interview. She is 25 years old and is a pilot as well as a Sub Lieutenant for the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps. Leanni intends to use her platform as Miss World Cayman Islands to empower women, especially those in abusive situations, and to highlight environmental initiatives.
Cayman Islands is yet to win the Miss World crown. However in 1982, Maureen Theresa Lewis made history as the first and so far the only Caymanian to make it to the Top 15 of Miss World pageant.
