If Rolene Strauss was still a medical student when she won the Miss World 2014 crown, then meet someone who is already a doctor even before she competes at Miss World! Meet Deborah Lambie – Dr. Deborah Lambie to be precise – New Zealand’s representative to Miss World 2015.

Indeed, if Rolene was touted to be a perfect Miss World for being a medical student, then the pageant shouldn’t look any further. Miss New Zealand Deborah Lambie graduated from the medical school prior flying to Sanya and thus, perhaps, the best woman to advance further the cause of Miss World.

As it seems, Deborah is one of the early favorites at Miss World 2015. She has been consistent all throughout. She has been selected on 2nd recall for the talent contest thanks to her superb showing of the New Zealand sign language. Also, her rendition of the haka (Maori war dance) was very spot on such that she is one of the shortlisted delegates for the second screening of Dances of the World.

Deborah was also selected to represent the Oceania region for the opening ceremonies speech. This speaks a lot about her personality and intellect. It also shows that she is a frontrunner. Currently, she is leading in the Miss World’s multimedia contest – a crucial component of the pageant.

With no clear frontrunner this year, Miss World 2015 is an open game. By the looks of it though, Miss New Zealand Deborah Lambie is emerging as one of the favorites. Will New Zealand win the crown this time around?
