Karema Batotele of Ottawa has been named as Miss Supranational Canada 2017. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Karema’s experience in a war torn country allowed her to develop her fears into strengths. She has been active in a charity works concentrating of breast cancer and has been cited by the government and the press numerous times for her work.

Karema Batotele will soon fly to Poland for the Miss Supranational 2017 pageant. Canada is yet to win the crown but in 2015, Siera Bearchell was the first runner-up. Canada was unplaced last year.
