Jodie Garcia was crowned Miss Gibraltar 2017 on Saturday, July 8, in a glittering ceremony held at the Tercentenary Hall.
The 24-year-old finance administrator will compete at the 2017 Miss World finals in China later this year. She speaks English and Spanish.
“Becoming Miss Gibraltar would give me great pride to be able to represent and promote my country abroad, being the proud Gibraltarian that I am. I hope to do this whilst also being a great role model for our younger generation,” she wrote in her profile page on the Miss Gbraltar website.
Tessa Britto and Sian Dean were first and second princesses, respectively.
Gibraltar has won the Miss World crown in 2009 with Kaiane Aldorino, who was named Mayor of the Rock in April 2017. Missosology.Org
