Ida Anette Hauan emerged victorious in a field of six finalists and crowned as the new Miss Universe Norway in a pageant held in August 13 at the capital city of Oslo. The 26-year-old animal welfare advocate and model from Trøndelag will represent Norway at Miss Universe 2022 pageant which will be held later this year. Romée Dahlen was named as the first runner-up while Julie Dahlen is the second runner-up.

Norway is a traditionally strong nation at Miss Universe. However, ever since Mona Grundt won the Miss Universe 1990 crown, Norway has only landed at the semis twice. The country is currently ranked 26th at the Big5 Ranking.
