In front of a massive crowd and with the reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska in attendance, the title of Miss World Vietnam was bestowed to Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong. She is 23 years of age and hails from the city of Dong Nai. The pageant was held in a large arena located in the coastal city of Quy Nhon in the province of Binh Dinh. The first runner-up is Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc while the second runner-up is Nguyen Phuong Nhi. A total of 37 contestants competed for the crown.
Ever since Vietnam debuted at Miss World in 2002, it has been relatively successful in making it to the semifinals although it is yet to win a crown. This is the second edition of Miss World Vietnam under the new organizer. Last year, the winner Do Thi Ha who made it to the Top 13 during the Miss World pageant held earlier this year in Puerto Rico.
