The representative of Penang was crowned Miss Malaysia Earth 2017 during the finals held Sunday, July 30.
Cherish Ng bested 20 other candidates for the opportunity to represent Malaysia at the 2017 Miss Earth finals to be held in the Philippines in November.
“To me, winning the Miss Malaysia Earth is not just by title, but a Miss Malaysia Earth by heart,” Ng wrote in a Facebook post prior to the coronation night.
Miss Air title went to Janice Chai (Selangor) while Elena (Sabah) was Miss Water. Dior Lam (Perak) won Miss Fire while Ennette Faith Solomon (Sarawak) was Miss Eco Tourism. Jean Seymour (Sarawak) was awarded Miss Eco Beauty.
Malaysia has yet to win the title or even place in the semifinals of the Miss Earth pageant. Missosology.Org
