Anshika Sharma was crowned Miss Universe Nepal 2020 during the finals held December 30.
The 23-year-old sales analyst bested 17 other finalists for the title and the right to represent the South Asian nation in the next edition of the Miss Universe competition.
Sujita Basnet placed first runner-up, while Nina Kant Mandal was second runner-up. Dikta Thapa and Nancy Khadka were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
No stranger to pageants, Sharma, who resides in Sydney, was first runner-up in Miss Nepal Oceania 2020.
Nagma Shrestha, who made history as Nepal’s first representative in Miss Universe, is now the national director of Miss Universe Nepal.
