The representative of Jawa Barat was crowned Miss Indonesia 2018 in a glittering ceremony held February 21, besting 34 other candidates for the right to represent the country at the 2018 Miss World finals.
Alya Nurshabrina, 22, received the crown from last year’s winner Achintya Holte Nilsen and reigning Miss World Manushi Chhillar. She is an international relations graduate of Parahyangan Catholic University. In 2014 she won the face contest of Femina Magazine. She is into painting and speaks fluent English.

Narda Virelia of Sumatera Barat finished first runner-up while Nadya Astrella Juliana of Jawa Tengah placed 2nd runner-up. Harini Merly Betrix Sondakh of Sulawesi Utara and Raudha Kasmir of Aceh were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Nurshabrina also bagged the Beauty With A Purpose special award. The winners of the other Fast Track awards were Banten (Nature Beauty Fashion), Riau (Sports), Jambi (Social Media), Aceh (Catwalk), and Jawa Tengah (Talent).
Special awards went to Sumatera Barat (Miss Cantik), Aceh (Miss Selfie), Jawa Tengah (Miss Beautiful Skin), Papua (Miss Congeniality) and Kalimantan Selatan (Miss Favorite). Missosology.Org
