A new era begins for Colombia as the country will crown its next representative to the Miss Universe pageant for the first time under a new organization.
All eyes are definitely on the South American nation after its impressive string of placements in Miss Universe over the past years. Who among the 30 delegates this year has what it takes to keep Colombia’s placement streak going in Miss Universe?
Leading our Miss Universe Colombia 2020 Final Hot Picks is pageant veteran Juliana Franco of Meta. The 27-year-old stunner has already proven her mettle in the international arena, finishing as Miss Earth Water at the Miss Earth 2017 competition in Manila. Juliana has left an indelible mark among pageant fans with her statuesque look, class and intelligence and she is showing all those qualities in this year’s Miss Universe Colombia contest. We believe she is will be a breath of fresh air for Colombia in Miss Universe.
Not far behind is Laura Olascuaga of Bolivar, who is a familiar face in the Colombian pageant scene.She finished as Virreina to Gabriela Tafur in Señorita Colombia 2019. However, she resigned due to personal reasons. The 25-year-old has shown marked improvements since then and winning the Miss Elegance award is proof she is getting noticed. We won’t mindseeing her wearing that “Colombia” sash in Miss Universe.
In third place is the beautiful Carolina Londoño Mejia of Antioquia. This 27-year-old professional model, teacher and dancer is a complete stunner. She is a deadringer of another Colombian beauty queen, Vanessa Mendoza – who was a heavy favorite in Miss Universe 2002 but ended up unplaced. We believe Carolina is perfect choice in case the country wants to showcase the diversity of Colombian queens in the IMG era.
