Golden Lotus Entertainment, the official franchise holder of Miss International and Miss World pageants in Vietnam, has officially bestowed the title of Miss International Vietnam 2019 to Nguyen Tuong San. A special ceremony was conducted in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday, August 30, attended by no less than the reigning Miss International Mariem Velazco of Venezuela. Also in attendance is Stephen Diaz of Miss International Organization.
Nguyen Tuong San is 19 years old and is studying at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology – Hanoi Campus, majoring in Communications. She is the 2nd runner-up in the recently concluded Miss World Vietnam 2019 pageant.
Vietnam first participated at Miss International in 1995 with Trương Quỳnh Mai as its representative. She finished as one of the 15 semifinalists and won the Best in National Costume award. Vietnam’s highest placement meanwhile was in 2015 when Phạm Hồng Thúy Vân was hailed as 3rd runner-up.
Vietnam is currently ranked 56th at the Big5 Ranking up from 6th place in 2017. The country also took the 5th place in the Performer of the Year 2018 which ranks the best performing country at the Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Earth and Miss Supranational pageants.
