Yashvi Aware representing Midatlantic was crowned Miss Earth United States 2018, earning her the right to represent the USA in Miss Earth.
“I am a proud Earth Warrior and I will be using my voice to advocate for our Mother Earth,” Aware wrote in an Instagram post after the pageant.
Her elemental court included Miss Hawaii Kailey Parker (Miss Air), Miss Texas Yvette Vaughns (Miss Water), Miss Puerto Rico Natalia Aldarondo (Miss Fire) and Miss New York April Maroshick (Miss Eco).
Aware, who currently works at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, previously competed in Miss Earth United States 2016 reprsenting Maryland.
The finals was held July 14 at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall in Virginia.
The pressure is on Aware to continue the United States’ 6-year placement streak in Miss Earth. The country has yet to win the Big5 crown. Missosology.Org
