Wayan Dedieu, 23 years of age from Afareaitu, Moorea, was declared as the first runner-up in the just concluded Miss Tahiti 2015 pageant. She is expected to compete at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant in a yet to be announced location. Wayan, who currently lives in Maharepa, wants to become a professor of languages and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree on Languages and Oceanic culture. She listed Polynesian dancing, cooking, aquabiking and playing the piano as some of her hobbies.

Tahiti or sometimes referred to as French Polynesia has been participating at Miss Earth since 2003. Its highest placement was in 2004, when Stéphanie Lesage became the Miss Earth-Water (second runner-up).
