Viivi Altonen was crowned Miss Suomi (Finland) 2020 during the finals held September 19 in Kerava.
The 23-year-old model and university student from Tampere bested nine other candidates for the title and the right to represent Finland in the next edition of the Miss Universe competition. She also bagged the Audience’s Favorite award.
Also crowned in the same event was Miss International Finland 2020 Anna Merimaa. The 23-year-old beauty will compete at the 60th Miss International in Japan next year.
Laura Hautaniemi and Noona Pölkki were first and second princesses, respectively. Rebecca Vuorio was named Media’s Choice.
No stranger to pageants, Altonen competed in Supermodel International 2014 and finishef third runner-up. In 2019, she was named Miss Supranational Finland and represented the country in Miss Supranational in Poland, where she won Miss Photogenic.
