Vanessa Ramirez finished as the 1st runner-up during the Miss Mundo Paraguay 2016 pageant and thus the title of Miss Tierra Paraguay was bestowed upon her. Vanessa who hails from the capital city of Asuncion will represent Paraguay at the Miss Earth 2016 pageant in the Philippines this October.
No Paraguayan beauty has ever won the Miss Earth crown. However in 2004, Yanina González earned the Miss Earth-Fire title. This was followed by a Top 8 finish of Tania Vargas in 2005. Gabriela Rejala (2009) and Nicole Huber (2011) meanwhile all finished in the Top 16.
