Representing North Yangon, Thet San Andersen clinched the prestigious Miss Universe Myanmar crown in a pageant held Friday night at the Yangon Convention Center. Of Swedish and Burmese heritage, she defeated 52 other hopefuls and earned the right to represent Myanmar at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant which will held in Mexico later this year.
Thet San Andersen is a designer and run a brand called Seint Studios which is heavily influenced by Burmese culture. She will aim to become the first Myanmar beauty queen to win the Miss Universe crown. Myanmar’s highest placement at the pageant happened in 2020 when Thuzar Wint Lwin made it to the Top 20.
