Upon the publication of the article, one reliable source intimate to the Miss Mundo Spain organization e-mailed Missosology that Mireia is actually 23 years old. The age posted on her official profile at the official Miss World Spain website is completely wrong. It states in there that she is 15 years of age.
Miss World Spain organization has been on spotlight earlier after it was revealed that it allowed a transsexual to crowned in the regionals and then to compete at the finals. No Spanish beauty has ever won the Miss World crown. With the clarification of her age, Mireia Lalaguna is very much eligible to compete at the Miss World contest in Sanya, China later this year.
