It’s official: the 67th Miss Universe competition will be held in Thailand.
In a press conference held the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre on July 31, Thailand’s tourism and sports minister Weerasak Kowsurat announced that the country will be hosting the international pageant for the third time.
The finals will be held at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani complex in Nonthaburi at 7am (local time) on December 17.
Reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart attended the event in Bangkok. Miss Universe 1965 Apasra Hongsakula and Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova also graced the event.
