Shauntae-Ashleigh Miller has been named Miss Universe Bahamas 2020, she announced on her Instagram account.
The 27-year-old student, athlete and model will represent the Bahamas in the next edition of Miss Universe. She succeeds Miss Universe Bahamas 2019 Tarea Sturrup.
“Sometimes all of these things and more has to take place for us to find ourselves, our strength and our purpose. Everyone has a purpose on earth that has to be fulfilled, and it’s up to us to find our purpose,” Miller posted on Instagram, accompanied by a photo of the Miss Universe Bahamas sash and crown.
No stranger to the big stage, Miller represented Bahamas at the Miss Intercontinental 2018 pageant in the Philippines. She also placed first runner-up in Miss Universe Bahamas 2018.
Bahamas has yet to win the Miss Universe crown. It currently ranks 77th and, respectively, in Missosology Big5 Ranking. Missosology.Org; Photos from Miss Intercontinental
