Actress and model Samantha Katie James, 22, is Miss Universe Malaysia 2017.

She received the crown and sash from Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 Kiran Jassal during the glittering ceremony held February 23. She will represent Malaysia in Miss Universe 2017.

Dana Low finished first runner-up. Ollemadthee Kunasagaran and Laura Simon were third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Missosology correctly predicted the winner and first runner-up.

The rest of the Top 10 were Gina Phillips, Karshini Ganesh, Peh Leon, Savina Thamilavana, Sonia Naidu and Tanalaksiumy Mahenthiran Rayer.
