Rafah Nanjeba Torsa was crowned Miss World Bangladesh 2019 during the finals held October 11 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.

The 20-year-old TV host and international relations student from Chittagong bested 37 other candidates for the title and the right to represent the South Asian nation at the 2019 Miss World finals in London in December.

“Each of the participants who competed for the title were very talented. I can not express the feeling when I heard my name was announced as the winner. I am very grateful to the organizers,” Torsa was quoted by Dhaka Tribune.

Fatiha Khalud Mayami, and Zannatul Ferdaus Meghla placed first and second runners-up, respectively.
