Twenty nine year old Praewwanich Ruangthong has been crowned as the new Miss Supranational Thailand in a glittering event held at Show DC Ultra Arena Hall in the District of Huai Khwang east of central Bangkok. A total of 25 women competed for the prestigious title.
Praewwanich Ruangthong is a free lance model and is a seasoned beauty pageant contestant. In 2018, she was the first runner-up at the Miss World Thailand contest. She also placed as third runner-up at Miss Universe Thailand 2020 pageant. Withsuch a stellar resumé, Praewwanich Ruangthong can be considered as an early front-runner.
In the same event, Yoyo Teenarupakorn Muangmai was named as Mister Supranational 2022. He will compete at the 6th edition of Mister Supranational which will be held on July 16.
Thailand boast one Miss Supranational title thanks to Anntonia Porsild who won in 2019. Anntonia is the longest reigning Miss Supranational titleholder after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic. Thailand currently ranks 18th at the Big5 Ranking.
