There are so many people who can’t move on and accept the fact that Pia Wurtzbach won the Miss Universe title. That deep seated resentment usually resides within those without class or those who desperately yearn for their elusive victory. After all, why do they have to dwell in bitterness when nothing they can do or say can change the truth?

That is why the reign of Pia Wurtzbach as Miss Universe 2015 was off to a rocky start. Of course, we all knew what happened during the finals night but most people including a vast number of Colombians have moved on and has accepted the results. One can actually get the impression that most of the people who are bitter of Pia’s victory are from those outside of Colombia especially from those countries who clapped very hard.

Amidst this rather complicated backdrop, Pia Wurtzbach rose to the occasion and proved her detractors wrong. She earned the admiration and respect of so many people. She was invited to attend the finals night of various national pageants including Peru and Cayman Islands. She also visited Ecuador and bagged several product endorsement contracts not only in her native Philippines but also in Thailand and in Indonesia.

As Miss Universe, Pia met the expectations set by her predecessors. She is well loved by the American press and above all by her fellow Filipinos. She is warmly received wherever she goes and she worked tirelessly on her platform which is AIDS awareness. She won over most of her critics through the warmth of her personality and by her confident attitude. She is truly a Miss Universe with a heart and no bitter detractor can take away her crown, her title, her happiness for she truly deserves what she is having right now.

    • why? is it a requirement for every miss universe winners to go to europe or africa? if you want a miss universe to always travel around the world you better ask the miss u org to crown a stewardess or flight attendant next time!

      • I agree with the article that Pia has met the expectations as Miss Universe, I think she has been incredible so far, and that she was a deserving winner. However, travelling is an important part of a Miss Universe or Miss World reign, and unfortunately Pia has not travelled that much when compared with other queens such as Jennifer Hawkins, Dayana Mendoza or even Megan Young. It’s not her fault though, we would have to ask the Miss U organization!

  1. She is far by the best Miss Universe ever. Never in the history of Miss Universe that many contestants hated the decision that Pia won, and disturbingly expressed their hatred during the crowning and in facebook and twitter. The most bitter contestant is Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Reik, who spread the most hateful rumors. She is so jealous of Pia winning, and I guess that’s what you do when you don’t even qualify. Really low class. But, Pia never answered back and took the high road. So, Pia definitely is the best Miss Universe in the history, not to mention dealing with all the controversy that she did not create.

      • of course it revolves around her and her country….. why so bitter bruh? hahaha go get a crown and we will talk about your country then but too bad you can’t have one haha

      • at least she can let the world revolves around her and her country but how about you? i guess you just revolves around your kitchen or walk from one corner street to another at night. hahaha

    • He’s half-Filipino, like Pia. Are you saying that Pia and other past MU winners should date within their race if they’re not Caucasian? If so, pretty racist, don’t you think?
