Despite winning the Miss Universe and Miss Earth crowns, Venezuela remains in the second place of the Big4 Ranking post-Miss Earth. This is because despite these two Big4 crowns, Venezuela did not make it to the semis of Miss World. The Philippines continues the lead and is in the path to become the Performer of the Year. The Philippines was able to offset the high scores of Venezuela at Miss Universe after the country clinched the 3rd runner-up position while at Miss Earth, the Philippines was at the Top 8. These good placements of the Philippines was able to cushion itself at Venezuela’s ascent. There is doubt that the exclusion of Karen Soto at Miss World 2013 is dragging the whole Venezuelan team down. It will therefore all boil down on how Bea Rose Santiago and Elián Herrera both fare at Miss International 2013 contest.
