Philippines could be hosting the Miss World 2019 contest! This year, the prestigious pageant will be co-hosted by Singapore and Sanya. It is believed that next year, Indonesia will once again stage the oldest among the Big5.
“I have an offer to stage it in 2019,” revealed the new Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria during the launching of Miss World Philippines 2017 yesterday at the New World Hotel Makati.
“I need the help of the government and support of the sponsors, and all the Filipinos [so] that we can stage it here for the first time. And Miss World will be shown in 146 countries. It’s bigger than the other pageant (Miss Universe). We will showcase the country to 146 countries the beauty of the people, the beauty of our tourism, and of course, the hospitality of the Filipino people.”
The Philippines is yet to host the Miss World pageant. It has so far it can boast one winner – Megan Young in 2013.
