The Colombian Postal Office has issued a stamp honoring Paulina Vega, the country’s second Miss Universe winner. In a launching ceremony held last Saturday, November 14, Paulina was visibly thrilled as she held up a first day cover featuring her image when she won the Miss Universe crown.
“It is an honor and I am very proud because few people have had this joy,” she beamed. The stamp is valued at 20, 000 Colombian pesos which is roughly US$6.50. Only 9, 500 pieces of the stamps will be issued.
