Noelia Voight, 23, will represent USA at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant. She describes herself as a bilingual Venezuelan-American who pledged to reach to the diverse communities across her country. Noelia was crowned by Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano. Morgan was named Miss USA after R’booney Gabriel was crowned as Miss Universe.
A total 51 contestants vied for the Miss USA crown. History was made as Miss Maine USA Juliana Morehouse-Locklear became the first married woman to compete. Changes has been made in the pageant for a more inclusive competition and it now allows married woman, mothers and transgenders to compete. Next year, the age requirement will be removed.
This year’s Miss USA pageant was held at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Savannah Gankiewicz of Hawaii was named as first runner-up while Alexis Loomans was the second runner-up. Jasmine Daniels of Pennsylvania and Lluvia Alzate of Texas completed the Top 5.
USA remains the strongest country at Miss Universe and at the Big5 Ranking. There are 9 Miss Universe titleholders from USA including the current winner.
