Nieves Marcano, representing María Trinidad Sánchez, was crowned Miss Tierra República Dominicana 2021 during the finals held September 1 at the Auditorio Patrick N. Hughson, Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano in Santo Domingo.
The 24-year-old interior designer and model bested 9 other candidates for the title and the right to represent the Dominican Republic at the 2021 Miss Earth pageant.
Valentina Campion (Samaná) placed first runner-up, while Nicole Franco (Distrito Nacional) finished second runner-up. Cristi Báez (La Romana) and Jesenia Tapia (Puerto Plata) were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
