According to Saostar, a Vietnam online magazine along with several reliable sources, Nguyễn Huỳnh Kim Duyên is the new Miss Supranational Vietnam. She hails from the city of Cần Thơ and she originally won the 1st runner-up title at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 pageant. She was appointed to compete in Eilat, Israel for the Miss Universe 2021 where she finished as one of the Top 16 semifinalists.
A model by profession, the 26 year old beauty stands 5’8″ tall. She has a good momentum on her way to the Miss Supranational since Vietnam is making good impressions in various pageants. Her country has a relatively good performance at Miss Supranational posting a 3rd runner-up placement (2011), two each at Top 25 (2016 and 2017) and Top 10 (2018 and 2019) as well as Top 15 finish in 2009.
Nguyễn Huỳnh Kim Duyên made a good impression during her participation at Miss Universe pageant. She was ranked 12th at Missosology’s Final Hot Picks. Although she was one of the semifinalists due to public votes, her overall perforamance was commendable and her styling was even compared to Miss Universe 2018 second runner-up Sthefany Gutiérrez.
Big5 pageants has recently seen the surging performance of Vietnam. The country’s first Big5 winner is Nguyễn Phương Khánh who won the Miss Earth 2018 title. Vietnam is currently ranked 52nd at the Big5 Ranking despite being a latecomer in the world of pageantry.
