This year’s Miss World Philippines season is getting more exciting with the finals being moved to October 9 (initially set for September 25), as requested by the Miss World Organisation to accommodate the visit of reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna and Mr World Rohit Khandelwal, who will join the panel of judges.
The news gives the 25 candidates extra days to prepare for the big night. And as we count the days, it’s time to reveal who among them are getting closer to being crowned the new Miss World Philippines.
Still leading our list is fashion and commercial model Catriona Gray. She has already cemented her spot as the girl to beat after winning the Miss Hannah’s World Philippines award during the candidates’ sojourn in Ilocos Norte. With a golden voice ready for talent rounds, runway experience, and an advocacy for her Beauty With A Purpose project, Catriona is Miss World bound!
Up five spots to second is the lovely Marah Munoz. Her 1st runner-up placement to Catriona in Ilocos didn’t come as a surprise. She was Mutya ng Pilipinas 2016 finalist and was 1st runner-up in Pinay Beauty Queen Academy 2015.
Sandra Lemonon drops to third place but that doesn’t mean her star is dimming. In fact, she earned more fans after her she did an on-the-spot drawing during the talent competition. This Fine Arts graduate who speaks English, Filipino, Portuguese, and French is another girl to watch out for.
