In a glittering event held amidst the Parisian style wall carvings in Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco, Bianca Sánchez was crowned as the new Miss Universe Uruguay last April 26. She is expected to compete later this year at the Miss Universe 2015 competition where she is facing an uphill battle. Uruguay is experiencing its longest Miss Universe drought where no Uruguayan beauty has ever made it to the semis since 1986.
