In the next few days, the contestants of Miss International 2023 will arrive in Japan signaling that the competition is about to begin. Judging from the selection of Missosology’s beauty experts, the list is dominated by Latinas with some Asians and Africans. The pendulum might be swinging in favor of the Latin American countries after the unexpected European victory last year. Asians could also be out for vengeance after the shocking poor performance in 2022 where the Philippines was the lone survivor.
Leading the Latina contingent is Miss Dominican Republic Yamilex Hernandez. Beauty experts are eyeing on her as the potential winner. She is followed closely by Miss Thailand Colombia Sofia Osio and Miss Venezuela Andrea Rubio. Among the Asian contestants, Miss Thailand Supaporn Ritthipruek is the heavy favorite while Miss Angola Teresa Sara is the currently the frontrunner from the African continent.
